You can get notification of replies if you have it checked off in your profile. I believe it is checked as default, but it can be turned off. It can also be overridden when typing your message - look for the blue bar below and click on options. You should get a notification of my reply.
I have not seen the email from CMMG yet, but I'll believe it when I see it. I am not saying anything against CMMG, but trying to change anything against the government is like trying to push a brick wall with a toothpick. They always have statistics that show we are not overpaying- like comparing our rates with Toronto (I loved that one). Of course, if I was making double my current wage like I would living in TO, I would not mind paying $1700, it would be like paying $850.... which is around what I'd be paying in Edmonton (a closer economical and population match to Winnipeg I think).
Anyway, I guess I should get off my soapbox. Glad you like the new forum. The ad bar is not to my taste, but if we like this enough, I can look into how much it is for ad-free from them. As it is now, we pay nothing for this forum and it is accessible from our website. Personally, I love Forumotion.com - it was super easy to set up- I give them 5 stars so far.
