| Just wanted to say hi to everyone out there. I've been looking for a site like this for a long time now. I currently own a 2005 vulcan 800 classic and have found a whole new love for riding again. I look foward to riding this summer and meeting new people. Does anyone kno where I can find a decent set of pipes for my classic, all I can find is a set of drag pipes from cobra that I'm not to fond of | |

| Are we letting in new members? I don't remember agreeing to letting in more members.... Just kidding! Welcome to the group! I can't help you with any deals on pipes for an 800, but I have two sets of aftermarket to sell for a 1500....doesn't help though. My wife had an 800, and cout out the secondary baffle in each pipe and that sounded nice if you want to modify your stock pipes. Other than that, I'd give Headingley Sport Shop a call- they can get in a few different sets. There are several options, but pipes are usually among the most expensive mod you'll do to your bike. Shop around, check out the forum for VROC ( www.VROC.org), see what others have done before shelling out $7 or $800 on pipes you might not like. Nothing worse than buyers remorse on a $800 item! | |

| Hey thanks, I know pipes can get a little expensive but a much needed investment. If you've ever heard a stock vn800 run you'd agree that the stock pipes are just too quiet and just plain ugly. This is the last year the bike will remain stock, after this summer it will be tore down to the frame powder coated and rebuilt as a bobber. For anyone interested Blue Collar Bobber's has an excellent website for bolt on bobber kts for the vn800 and vn900. If all goes well I should have a pretty cool little show bike something different. I look forward to seeing everything at the show at the end of April. | |
